It's an Election Year! - Dear friends,
It’s an election year (did you know?), and this year Royal Lane is excited to be an election site. We’ll be hosting both early voting and election day. Not only does this bring in revenue for the church, but it’s a witness to our community that as Christians, we think it important to be good citizens and exercise our right to vote. If you haven't yet registered to vote or if you’re unsure if you are registered, there's a link below that you can use to check your registration status.
As you prepare for the election, I’d encourage you to watch “10 for 10” on the Faith Commons website. For ten days, they'll be posting ten-minute videos on different topics related to the upcoming election (i.e. labor, healthcare, education, etc.). The purpose of these videos is to learn how religion shapes our vision and not our division. I strongly encourage you to watch these at https://faithcommons.org/voting-vision/.
