Staff Updates - Dear Royal Lane Family,
We have several exciting staff updates to share with you. The first is that we’ve recently hired a new Maintenance Director and Housekeeper. For those who have been around Royal Lane for a while, you’ll recognize their names. We are thrilled to welcome back Mike Hurder and Rosa Barrientos. Mike and Rosa began their roles last Monday. After having served our church in the past, they onboarded very quickly, picking up right where they left off. We are thankful for the contributions they are already making in ensuring our property is as great as it can be. Please join us in welcoming them home.
Ellen Miers, our former housekeeper, recently retired from her role, wanting to transition to something less physically demanding. If you’d like to send a note of appreciation to Ellen, please feel free to drop one off by the front office, and we’ll send them to her late next week.
Finally, you may remember at Harry’s 25th anniversary celebration in April 2024, we made a commitment to support him in a well earned sabbatical this year. With the help of a sabbatical committee, chaired by Dan Thompson, Harry has decided to take his sabbatical in two parts, the first beginning this Sunday. Harry will be gone from July 13 through August 3. He and Debi will spend the majority of their time in upstate New York and Quebec City where they intend to find spiritual nourishment in nature, music, family, and history. The second part of Harry’s sabbatical will be taken next summer in 2025. Please join me in praying for Harry and Debi during this time of rest and renewal.
As our staff grows and evolves, I am thankful to lead such a committed group of people. Royal Lane is fortunate to have such a dedicated and talented staff.
