Royal Lane Baptist Church
Stewardship 2023

Who are we…?
We are diverse people united in Christ.

Who are we?
We are an inclusive, multi-generational community of believers in God as revealed in Jesus Christ. We are a vibrant, welcoming, and affirming mosaic of ethnicities, racial identities, sexual orientations, gender identities, and socioeconomics. We affirm the sacredness, dignity, and equality of every person. We are a progressive and autonomous Baptist church valuing the freedom to minister alongside other groups, both Christian and non-Christian.

Who are we…(becoming)?
We are seeking to continue to be a catalyst for love and light in our city and beyond as we journey to:

  • be an anti-racist congregation
  • advocate for and fully support the LGBTQIA+ community
  • boldly support racial and social justice efforts

As we celebrate our 70th anniversary and begin our eighth decade we encourage you to be a part of this journey and by prayerfully considering your stewardship through the tithing and offering of your time, talents, and financial resources.

The 2023 stewardship campaign will take place throughout September. You will be invited to share a word that represents who Royal Lane is to you which will be added to a collective word cloud. We will also offer an opportunity to gather following worship on Sunday, September 11th for fellowship where each division will share the highlights of their ministries.

This is who we are and who we are becoming…as we Celebrate Our Legacy and Commit to Our Future, we ask that you complete your 2023 commitment card by the end of September.

Henri Nouwen offers an impactful way for us to think towards the stewardship campaign in the coming weeks:
“When we seek to raise funds, we are not saying, ‘Please, could you help out because lately it’s been hard.’ Rather, we are declaring, ‘we have a vision that is amazing and exciting. We are inviting you to invest yourself through the resources that God has given you - your energy, your prayers, and your money – in the work which God has called us.’” — The Spirituality of Fund-Raising
