“The Glad Neighborhood”
Steve Graham

In Will Campbell’s novel, The Glad River, three friends explore the meaning of love and community. They called their community, “the neighborhood.”

Psalm 100 stands tall to declare that the community of faith is a neighborhood made glad by its recognition of the good deeds of God, the great works and profound thoughts of God. This psalm gives us hope that the kingdom of God will come on earth. The psalm envisions a glad community.

May our community of faith be known as the glad neighborhood! May we be alive with wonder to the presence of God. May we see Christ in us, the hope of glory. This Thanksgiving let it be known that we are a people humming with gladness.
