New Year, New Beginnings -

What better time to start a new job than the first day of a new year? This is the season to be setting goals and intentions, hopes and dreams. As I sit in my new office, in my new chair, in my new role, I, too, find myself setting goals and intentions, hopes and dreams as your new pastor.

I have no idea what is to come from our partnership with one another, but the deepest part of my soul has so much hope. Of course, there is always fear when it comes to change, doubt about the unknown; but even amidst the uncertainties of what will be, I have confidence that God has brought us to one another, and God will be faithful to us both.

My primary goal and intention as your new pastor is to listen and to guide. I want to know you and hear from you. I want to know your stories, your joys, and your pains. I have no desire to lead a community I do not deeply know. So, I hope you'll find in me a generous ear.

I also intend to listen to the voice of God. It is my hope to be attuned to the Spirit’s work among us and to faithfully discern alongside you where God is calling us to next. You have my commitment to seek God's wisdom, to faithfully pray for our community, and to pause long enough to hear what God is yearning to say to us.

Thank you for the faith you have already shown in me. Thank you for taking the courageous and just step in calling a female senior pastor. What a sign of the church you already are. I am privileged and humbled to listen to you and guide you. What a gift.

With great hope and bright dreams,
Victoria
