Our Vision

Royal Lane Baptist Church embraces the traditions and Christian principles from which the Southern Baptist denomination was formed. As a body, we believe that the local church is unique and establishes its own structure for organization and function. We believe that every Christian is called to minister and that neither sex nor race should hinder an individual from serving and leading in our church. We recognize that the church must meet a variety of individual needs through its activities and programs. Believing that Jesus Christ is Savior and Lord and that we are called by Him to Christian service, we ordain and adopt this Vision Statement for Royal Lane Baptist Church with the prayer and hope that it will result in the strengthening of a unified church, growing in His service, and providing the facilities, leadership, and fellowship to meet the needs of our time.It is our Vision:

  • To be a Christian fellowship in worshiping, studying, giving solace, and dispersing to work, to proclaim, and to minister.
  • To be caring and friendly – bound together in Christian love on a journey of spiritual growth and service.
  • To teach and exhibit God’s love through an active church program and in our relationships with each other.
  • To challenge each other to be personally responsible to God’s direction through Christ.
  • To be a place where traditions are honored, maintained, and interpreted; where integrity is assumed; where open inquiry is welcomed; and where growth occurs by the reality and affirmation of faith in God.
  • To reach out to others and to welcome all those who seek our fellowship.
  • To embrace the historic Baptist principles of the authority of scriptures; priesthood of the believer; congregational autonomy; and the ordinances of the church.
